James Fitzpatrick
Head of Operations, Europe & North America


James leads Crisis Shield's UK and Europe operations specialising in crisis communications, reputation management, media training and live response. 


James joined Crisis Shield in 2014 with a passion for innovation and change within the communications industry. James has an extensive skill set within the field, with the consistent ability to harness and mobilise the latest technological and theoretical developments in media and communications for the benefit of his clients.

James has worked on a number of high profile crisis cases for CS and specialises in developing digital and multi-media communications for a variety of channels.

James has been instrumental in building the company's suite of products, particularly the digital assets and online environments of our media training, and bespoke crisis simulations.


Before joining CS, James gained experience across the media and communications industry, including work with Kreab Gavin Anderson, AlignMe, and the Myer Corporate Communications team along with private consulting contracts for a variety of SMEs.


Outside of his CS work, James is the Director of an online sports analysis magazine Sporting Chance Magazine and is a Sessional Lecturer in Communications at RMIT University.

Driven by a passion to drive change and achieve outstanding results for his clients and projects, James holds a variety of communications and leadership positions for not-for-profit organisations, company boards, and local small business.


James has a BA, majoring in Politics and International Studies at Monash University, and a Masters of Communications at RMIT.
